Both The Genetic Archive and The Silent Hill Fanficton Archive now have the option to Choose Not to Warn for content. There has been a lot of discussion on LiveJournal about Social Justice, responsibility, Trigger Warnings and 'ableism'. I personally don't care about a lot of that, especially not in fandoms such as Silent Hill (Where a girl is burned and torments others, and monsters appear to be raping other monsters) or REPO!, (Where wonton stabbings are played for humour, a man willingly keeps his daughter ill and dependant on him, and the word 'cunt' is an empowering term.)

This new option is an effort put forth by the founder to try and curb the rage and tone arguments brought forth by the Social Justice debate. This is fanfiction.

As a final note, I want to let you all know I'm glad that we've all been able to get along and I've not come across any violent debates in this archive. We've all been able to be mature, sharing contributors to the archives.

Boy or girl, able bodied or disabled, rich or poor, we have one thing in common, our fandoms.
